Ghana, Burkina Faso security agencies on manhunt for suspected terrorists in Sissala West.

A collaborative security operation involving law enforcement agencies from Ghana and Burkina Faso is actively pursuing individuals suspected of harboring terrorist affiliations in Fatchu, located within the Sissala West District.

Information sourced from the Sissala West District Police Command has disclosed that these suspected terrorists may have crossed from Burkina Faso into Ghana on Wednesday, September 27, around 11:45 AM.

During a raid on the hideout of these suspects, several items were discovered, including a Ghanaian voter ID card, two mobile phones, an unspecified quantity of ammunition, various items of clothing, and eight bicycles, among other items.

Examination of the recovered mobile phones unveiled images depicting individuals dressed in attire associated with terrorist groups, with one particular individual, approximately forty (40) years of age, bearing a striking resemblance to a wanted terrorist in Burkina Faso.

The suspected terrorist identified as Diallo Noufou by Burkina Faso's security authorities possessed a Ghanaian voter ID card registered under the name Abdulai Ibrahim.

The security forces in Gwollu have been promptly informed of this unfolding situation and are presently conducting periodic patrols within and around the vicinity of Fatchu.
