#BacktToNature: The use of Siam weed (Acheampong, Awolowo Leaves bitter bush, akintola).

Siam weed (Acheampong, Awolowo Leaves bitter bush, akintola) has great health benefits.  It is used to treat Ovarian cyst, Cervical cancer, Diabetes, Hypertension, Waist pain, Gout and Stomach ulcer.

Here is how to use the plant



OVARIAN CYST

This is a semi-solid or fluid filled sac within the ovary.

You can cure it with dried Siam weed leaves. Dry the leaves under the sun for sometime and grind it into powder. Boil 1 sachet water (500mls) and pour it onto 2 tablespoons of the powder. Drink this 2x daily


CERVICAL CANCER

Powdered leaves of Siam weed when used for douching and drunk as tea is potent in stopping the rapid replication of cells/ cancerous cells at the cervix.



BLEEDING AND WOUND HEALING.

In Ghana, the leaves are used to stop blood resulting from wounds and it is also used to heal wounds. It also limits the formation of scars after wound have healed.

Skin cannot be stitched surgically together afterwards.



WAIST PAINS

The roots are potent in curing waist and back pains. Get either fresh or dried roots and boil for 30mins. Drink half cup 3x daily.



DIABETES AND HYPERTENSION

Boil 2 tablespoons of dried powdered leaves with 1 sachet water (500mls). Drink this twice daily before meals. You will be cured.
