2023 Computerised School Selection And Placement Sensitisation: GES Sets September 11 For Exercise
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially declared that the 2023 school selection and placement sensitization program is set to kick off from September 11, 2023, and will run until September 22, 2023. This significant event will be orchestrated by dedicated officers hailing from GES Headquarters, the CSSPS (Computerized School Selection and Placement System), and the Free SHS (Free Senior High School) Secretariat, who will embark on regional tours to conduct the training sessions.
The primary purpose of this sensitization endeavor is to provide comprehensive instruction to all participants concerning the utilization of the computerized school selection and placement system for the impending academic year. The GES underscores the paramount importance of this system, as it ensures that every eligible student is appropriately assigned to a senior high school (SHS) that aligns with their academic achievements and their school preferences.
The contingent of participating officers encompasses representatives from both regional and district teams, holding pivotal roles such as Regional Directors, Chief Inspectors of Schools, Free SHS Coordinators, Examination Officers, Public Relations Officers, Deputy Directors of Supervision and Monitoring, and SISOS (Schools and Inspectorate Support Officers).
The GES is steadfast in its belief that the CSSPS represents an efficient and effective method to guarantee that students are placed in educational institutions that resonate with their academic prowess and individual interests. This initiative plays an integral role in shaping the educational trajectory of Ghana's youth.
